Refuse dimensions a format stores only as a grid, saying how to make one.

Writers keep a coordinate’s step and holes, or refuse (rule 13 of the coordinate guidelines, notes/coordinates.qmd); a format which stores a start and a step cannot hold holes, jitter or labels with no step.
