present_columns

function of dascore.utils.pd source

present_columns(
    df: DataFrame ,
)-> ‘pd.DataFrame’

Return the public view of a flat relation.

The index carries private columns the spool needs and a caller does not: the row id, per-coordinate identity keys, the element dtype, the raw path attrs. A leading underscore means private everywhere else in DASCore, so a frame handed out publicly should not carry them. The unit columns are the exception and are renamed first, so _time_units leaves as time_units rather than being dropped.
